Salary: 160–180 PLN/h + VAT (B2B) or 21 500–24 000 PLN gross/month (employment contract)

About the project

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Platform Control Automation to join a global organization in the banking sector. 

The project focuses on building modern technology platforms and services that improve engineers’ experience and enable safe, efficient delivery to production within a banking environment. A key part of this initiative is developing a Platform Control Automation service that automates compliance, reduces manual effort, and ensures the right control data is delivered to the right systems at the right time.

What Youll Do

  • Leading the analytical activities to understand the scope of a control and how our Platform services could fulfil it for their tenants. This is a large part of the role and will help us understand how we can engineer our controls to automate them.
  • Leading the engineering team tasked with building the automation services, workflows and integrations needed to automate controls at scale.
  • Have strong software engineering skills, particularly when developing APIs, data schemas and process flows.
  • Conceptualise, design and develop solutions to automate controls.
  • Lead operational, delivery and engineering excellence when developing the Platform Control Plane.
  • Actively drive continuous improvement, mature the organisation and improve productivity. Focus on automation, process improvement, reuse.
  • Collaborates across functional areas to define, prioritize and ensure implementation of innovations to improve our controls for Tenants of Engineering Platforms. 

What Were Looking For

  • Understand Technology Platforms - Internal Developer Platforms and Hosting Platforms, Internal and Cloud.
  • Senior Leadership - Experience of leading global teams, located in diverse geographic locations, across time-zones, and maturing offshore teams of engineers.
  • Engineering skills  Experience in several languages, PolyglotDatabase and schemas, API development, basic understanding of Linux and web technologiesExperience in deploying within HSBC would be helpful but not essential.
  • Iterative technology delivery - Delivering in small iterations to deliver value faster
  • Self-motivatedenthusiastic and proven fast learner.
  • Stakeholder management - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player, with extensive leadership and senior stakeholder management experience.
  • Proficiency in English. We are a diverse company. Ability to communicate on a business level with everyone is a must.
  • Reporting and presenting skills. You must know how to analyse and present recruitment data in a clear manner.
  • Innovative thinking. We don’t settle for mediocracy, and neither should you. You must be able to challenge conventional approach and create new ways of working in dynamically changing world
