As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will join an agile team responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working closely with application-focused DevOps engineers and cross-functional IT teams, you will drive infrastructure improvements, optimize performance, and evaluate new GCP services and technologies to support continuous innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) foundation to support application deployments.
- Develop infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices, primarily with Terraform.
- Configure and manage core cloud services, including IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, and container platforms.
- Ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Maintain technical and operational documentation.
- Follow established change management processes.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Requirements
- Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably on GCP.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g. VPCs, Shared VPC/XPN).
- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, monitoring, and compliance.
- Experience collaborating with application teams and cross-functional IT stakeholders.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, Groovy, or Scala.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement mindset.
