Salary: 180 - 210 PLN/h + VAT (B2B) or 24 000 - 28 000 PLN gross/month (employment contract)

What Youll Do

Murex is a third-party trading platform used in the commodities space. It supports risk management, P&L calculations, and full trade lifecycle processing for Front and Middle Office users.

The Business Analyst sits within the IT function and collaborates closely with global business stakeholders and development teams, delivering functional analysis and technical support for Sales, Trading, and Middle Office teams.

  • Working with the business and technology stakeholders to build and develop HSBC primary trading systems, primarily focusing on Precious Metals productsFX and Interest Rate products
  • Offering production support services to Front and Middle office users, managing incidents and problems with business impact analysis and desk facing communication
  • Being the business analyst from project level, gathering requirements, discussing long-term and short-term solutions with the development team, and working on the hands-on implementation for the solutions
  • Facilitating user acceptance tests, providing training sessions and establishing a good rapport to encourage feedback and further communication
  • Participating in continuous improvement of development, test and release processes, automating manual and repetitive procedures
  • Being the central contract point in European time zone with global users and stakeholders to develop and maintain the partnership between the business and technology stakeholders
  • Prompting agile manifesto, delivering business values through iterative and incremental developments 

What Were Looking For

  • Hands-on experience in supporting or developing Murex systems (required)
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and front office processes
  • Solid analytical skills, including risk, P&L, and trade lifecycle analysis
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (active participation in demos, stand-ups, retrospectives)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with business and tech teams
  • Comfortable working directly with business users and developers on a daily basis
  • Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision while being a team player
  • Experience collaborating with global teams

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience in software development
  • Working knowledge of SQL, shell scripting, or similar development tools
  • Understanding of risk and P&L for FX, commodities, or options
  • Experience within Commodities, FX, or Fixed Income trading environments
  • Familiarity with Geneos and Control-M
  • CFA or FRM certification is a plus
